Q. I have lost my code to rsvp/confirm my attendance. How do I find out what it is?
A. Click on "Scholars." See Online Service box, click on "RSVP" and follow instructions. Your code will then be sent to your e-mail address.

Q. How do we get to the program activities?
A. FOCUS provides transportation for the program activities.

Q. May I drive my own car to the program activities?
A. We do not encourage students to drive their own cars because, parking is very limited and expensive, and FOCUS will not cover parking expenses. We prefer that the students stay together as a group.

Q. What if I miss the designated transportation?
A. There are no provisions made if you miss the designated transportation. All programs start on time, and the transportation leaves on schedule. Keep in mind that travel reimbursement depends on your attendance at each session.

Q. How do I know which department to visit?
A. You should visit the department of the academic program you wish to pursue in graduate school.

Q. What if I am interested in two departments?
A. Due to time constraints, you will only have the opportunity to visit one department on Friday morning. However, you will have another opportunity on Friday from 10:30 a.m.–1:15 p.m. to visit other departments and faculty members. You are responsible for making any individual arrangements with faculty members. You will also have the opportunity on Friday afternoon to speak with current graduate students from other departments.

Q. What should I expect to learn from attending FOCUS?
A. You should leave FOCUS with an understanding of why you should pursue a graduate education, how to prepare for graduate school, how to apply to graduate school, and how to maximize financial resources for graduate school.

Q. Will I be allowed to attend the program twice?
A. You may attend the program again only if you have applied and been accepted to one of Georgia Tech's graduate programs. Applications to participate for a second time will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
