PARTICIPATING UNIVERSITIES
The Georgia Institute of Technology invites the participation of your students in one of the nation's premier graduate recruiting programs. This three-and-a-half day event is designed to attract the best and brightest underrepresented minority students and encourage them to pursue graduate studies. All students are welcome to apply. FOCUS 2010 is the nineteenth annual program and will be held at Georgia Tech in Atlanta on January 14-17, 2010.
The Colleges of Architecture, Computing, Engineering and Sciences; the Ivan Allen College; and the College of Management are actively seeking students to participate in FOCUS 2010. Our preference is to invite college juniors with a GPA of 3.5 and above; however, in some situations, seniors will be considered. Participation is limited and by invitation only.
Living accommodations, meals and transportation subsidies will be provided for the students. Please read travel information on the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) page for complete details.
Using your online ID number, please log in and follow the prompts to enter the names and addresses of the students that you feel would benefit most from this experience. Prospective FOCUS Scholar names may be submitted until November 18, 2009. A maximum of ten (10) students per school will be invited from your selection. Each prospective student will receive a letter inviting him or her to complete the FOCUS application online.
Faculty advisors may attend FOCUS at their own expense. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. Thank you for your support of this important program.
